I have many cherished memories, a few not-so-cherished ones, and a ton of respect for a car that got the job done. I can completely understand the stockpiling of this venerable piece of American law enforcement. The new line of police vehicles leaves a lot of questions. The Tahoe has promise, but the appearance of an SUV has some administrators balking due to gas prices (even though they have better mpg). An basing a police car on the Taurus frame does not instill confidence in my book.The Dodge Charger does OK, but smaller trunk space and interior space is a real concern.
